Hi Lucia!

I very much appreciate your thoughts and am delighted you found time to respond. As you and I are discussing together, it is important that we help to create the environment where feedback normalcy, embraced with balance and vulnerability, are so important. As I think about feedback, I see non-judgmental exchanges, in private, can contribute to the ongoing growth and development of individuals in both their personal and professional lives. Feedback has so many nuances in that “how objective” can we really be considering that we all have unconscious bias. This is an important point as we consider that feedback is really just the beginning of a dialogue to help ensure that both parties are heard, accepted, and understood. Feedback delivered is not a feedback process completed! In reality, the initial feedback exchange is about sharing perceptions that then lead to an honest dialogue to learn from similarities and differences to ensure full understanding of each others’ points of view. Feedback given is really the beginning of a dialogue, not the completion of one!

It would be interesting to hear your thoughts about how the ONA concept and methodology can contribute to this important aspect of personal and professional human dynamics. I am not familiar with this specific discipline and would love to learn from you! What content can you share to further collective knowledge about your experiences with this concept? I am a strong proponent of the theoretical guiding practical application!

Let’s keep talking!

Gail
